Felt Flower Making

Required materials: Nako Keche, hot water, oil-based soap, nylon, tulle.

Arrange two layers of wool on the laid nylon horizontally and vertically as in other applications.

Cut thin strips of wool of another color and place them in the middle. Spread tulle over the placed wool. Feed the water and soap so that they do not come to the edges.

Lift the tulle and turn the wetted wool inside out. Press the dry edges so that the wool forms a circle.

Tear off a long strip of green wool to start making the handle. Wet the nylon on the table and roll the green wool strip on the wet nylon. Do this without pressing too hard so that the handle is even. Leave one end of the strip dry while rolling. After rolling a little in water, add soap and continue rolling.

Take the dry part of the stem to join the flower. Separate the dry wool with your hands and give it a rounded form. Take the circular flower part set aside and place the dry part of the stem right in the middle of this part. Combine the flower and the tip of the stem with the help of water (it is important not to press too hard). Then, using soap, with light hand movements, thoroughly fuse the green stem into the flower.

Turn the flower over and soak in soap. Shape the flower, right in the middle, by making a bump with your hand.

Roll the flower by pressing it from the stem to the table so that it maintains this shape. Continue rolling until the felt on the handle has hardened. Roll it well in your palm to complete the flower part.

When both the stem and the flower part are felted, rinse them and give the flower the desired shape with your hands and leave it to dry.
